As Requested by Uncle Josh....

This is the first time she slept with a lovey... She really does seem to have some affection for a stuffed pig dressed up as a Redskin, much to my parents' dismay. Uncle Josh knows how to pick 'em!

Lots of stuff to look at

We had Lexie's four month check up this past week. You can see how much she's grown over to the right of the screen. Yowza! So we've started her on rice cereal (see the video from the last post if you haven't done so already!) and have also given her green beans, which she seems to like. We think that we'll do peas next. Exciting! :)

Lexie is sick. Again or still, we're not sure. But the poor thing has a yucky nose and a nasty cough. The pediatrician advised that we go ahead and give her her four month shots (we had already delayed it a week because she had been running a mild fever). And today she spiked a fever of 103. Tylenol is bringing it down, but she's pretty tired and cranky. Keep your fingers crossed that she feels better soon!

She's still doing well at daycare... Most days she naps better there than she usually does at home.

Her baptism was lovely. She had tons of friends and family come to celebrate with her. And she did really well during the actual water-over-the-head part, too.
Before the service.

Proud parents... Pay no attention to the face I'm making; focus on Doug and the baby!

This is us with Lexie's Godparents - Uncle Josh and Auntie Cynthia.

Everyone who came to celebrate with us (well, almost everyone...we overflowed from the section they saved for us!)

This is the actual baptism; Father Michael is pouring the water over Lexie's head and Pastor Lauren is looking on in the background. All of the children are invited to gather around the baptismal font to get a close-up look at what's going on.

And, as promised, some more pictures from Christmas...
She's just not sure what all the fuss is about....

She got a new doll from one of her cousins... She likes it!

Daddy's reading her one of her new books called "Daddy Kisses"

And finally, just some random pictures that I think are kinda cute...

I just love the bow in her hair...

Hanging out on the floor in her room while I'm sorting through clothes. Note the ever-present drool...

Hanging out in her Bumbo...

Big girl in her high chair...
This is from New Year's Eve. Lexie and Layla and Emma. Layla was born 2 1/2 weeks before Lexie, and Emma came 2 weeks after Lexie. Too much cuteness!!

And this is Lexie chatting to her mobile... She's got some lungs on her!
Hope you all are well! Come see us when you can!

Happy New Year!

So it appears that I am not a good blogger. I can't believe it's been so long since I've been able to post anything. As it is, I don't have a lot of pictures on this computer, so I'll just have to update and post what I've got, then do a big photo post soon.
So...what's happened...LOTS! The holidays were wonderful. We traveled to be with Nana and PopPop and Lexie's Aunties over Thanksgiving and again at Christmas. Lexie did really well. She enjoyed playing with all of her cousins, who are so sweet and always want to help take care of her. I'm sure Christmas was a blur to her...just another day. But she did get some presents from Santa and some great clothes and toys from the family.

For the New Year, we spent the weekend with some friends who also have a baby girl the same age as Lexie. In fact, we got three of the babies together from the crowd of babies that were born around the same time this fall. It was a great way to ring in the New Year.
We will be having Lexie baptized this coming Sunday (on her four month birthday....FOUR MONTHS!!), which we are really looking forward to. And the week following that, Lexie will have her four month check-up (more shots with this one!). I'm anxiously awaiting to see how much she's grown.

Doug is excited to start her on solids soon. She's sitting up well with help, she's reaching for toys that she wants to play with (hasn't reached for Mom or Dad yet...I'm waiting for that!!). She's even starting to laugh out loud. She smiles all the time, but not much has tickled her funny bone yet. You should see us trying to make her laugh...

At any rate...here are the few pictures I've got of her on this machine....
She's sporting the hat that her Uncle Josh got for her (and falling asleep)...
