Just checking in...

All is well at home. Lexie's getting so big, and SO interactive. She's talking ALL.THE.TIME. (Wonder where she gets that from???) We're putting away all of her 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes. I will admit to shedding a tear or two as I put the little clothes in the bins to be stored downstairs. I just can't believe she's 7 months old already. Ideas for her first birthday party are already starting to swirl in my brains!

She's sleeping well (knock on everything you can find that it continues), eating well - she gets two real meals (if you count pureed fruits and veggies as "real") a day at schol in addition to her bottles now, and is still working on getting to be mobile. She prefers to be upright at all times, so it's hard to get her to stay on the floor for any length of time to practice rolling and scooting, but we're working on it.

Here's a cute pic we took of her and her daddy sitting on the steps outside his office. I've got more, just need to get them off my camera....

Hope you all are well. Lots of love from all of us!

So that's what that was all about....

This last week has been very difficult here at home (and at daycare, for that matter). Lexie has been a non-sleeping mess. On Wednesday, I got a call from daycare (scary thing when that phone number pops up on your pager...) saying that she was fine, but I had to come pick her up because she had three episodes of diarrhea. And she couldn't come back until she didn't have a loose diaper for 24 hours. Luckily Auntie Cynthia could watch her for me on Wednesday, her Nana came up to watch her on Thursday, and her Auntie A stayed with her on Friday. (Nothing like having a great network of family!)

On Thursday, Nana asked if she was teething. I stuck my finger in her mouth, and lo and behold, there was a teeny tiny little tooth poking out of her gums. After another night of horrendous sleep, on Friday morning there was another one! Lexie has two teeth! Friday night's sleep wasn't terrible (still not great!), but I'm hopeful we're on the tail end of this little episode and can get back to a normal sleep routine. Fingers crossed, knock wood, etc....

I don't have any pictures of her teeth because she won't let me open her mouth to let me see them, but here's a picture I took of her after a rather long nap last week... she looks a little demonic....
