Lexie is doing well. She's in the middle of cutting another couple of teeth, so she's pretty fussy. Knock wood, she's still sleeping fairly well. I'll be glad when this teething thing is over. Of course, we've got quite awhile, so I guess I'll just have to grin and bear it.
She's been improving a lot with her gross motor skills. She's almost figured out how to go from sitting to her belly. She's not that interested in being on her hands and knees yet. I guess I'll just count my blessings that she typically stays in the general viscinity where I put her down....
I've had my first Mother's Day as a mommy! It was very nice to have the whole family home for the day. Doug got me flowers and a GPS for my car. Which actually came in handy the very next day as I had to navigate around a traffic jam on my way to work.
We're taking Lexie on her first family vacation over Memorial Day weekend. Doug's whole family is going to Wintergreen for a few days. 8 adults and 7 kids. Should be fun! Lexie is typically a good traveller, so we'll hope that trend continues.
And now for the pictures....
Having a bottle with Nana...

Her first time down a slide...

Hanging out with Uncle Mike....

Her first time in her kiddie pool...

My absolute favorite candid ever! I LOVE this smile! (She's sitting on the floor of Doug's office...that explains all the rolled up construction plans in the background.....)

We have her 9-month well-baby-visit in another month. I'm always excited to see how she's grown. Her appetite is doing weird things as we introduce more and more solids into her diet (which she LOVES), so it'll be interesting to see if she's kept up the same pace.
Hope you all are well.
Lots of love,
D, T, & L
